spectrochemical series
Novel 2D spectrochemical series for six-coordinated 3d transition metal complexes (ML6) have been investigated in order to clarify the mechanism of the shuft of the absorption spectrum and the difference of the ligand field splitting among the metal complexes. This spectrochemical series consists of two parameters, one is the metal dependence, and the other is the ligand molecule dependence. We can discuss the difference of the ligand field splitting between any two metal complexes having the any metal ions and ligand molecules. Therefore, this can be applied for predicting the experimental values of the first absorption spectrum and the emission spectrum of the unknown metal complexes that can be controlled to create the useful materials with objective physical properties.
