Seminar Supporting Career Development for Veterinary Science Students and Their Understanding of Career Paths and Employment: Comparing Results Obtained for 2023 and 2025

In May 2025, a seminar comprising four lectures, a panel discussion, and individual consultations was
conducted to support the career development of third-year veterinary science students with invited external
lecturers. Survey results indicated that the participating students perceived the increase of their knowledge about
pharmaceutical companies and small animal hospitals after the seminar. An additional survey of the students’
understanding of the career paths and employment was administered. The results well matched those of a similar
survey conducted in 2023. The findings suggest that the students’ considerations have remained largely unchanged,
at least over two years.
