Summary

The Upper Cretaceous Djadokhta Formation crops out on the Tugurikin Shireh fossil locality which are located central part of Gobi Desert, Mongolia, representing theree eolian units with same faceis characters. These deposits can be explained by stable eolian and climatic systems throughout depositional timeframe of the locality. Large amount of the articulated or partial skeletons of Protoceratops specimens and nests with eggshells have been discovered from the locality. The presence of these dinosaur specimens of varying degrees of ontogenetic development form the locality are good indicators that Protoceratops, at least continuously habituated erg environments throughout its entire life.
