Summary

In this study, we measured electrodermal activity (EDA), and researched a psychological stress that is caused by high altitude. Testees experiment by using virtual reality (VR) system that seems that it synchronizes with the person's operation.  They experience the sight that looks down at the outside from the skyscraper, and measure EDA between those. The study found that EDA is inversely correlated with the ratio of shelter at the window. Moreover, in an actual building, EDA index rises in proportion with the building's altitude. However, EDA index is fixed when the altitude is over than 100 metres. As a result of the experiment, the following has been understood. EDA is proportional to the size in the window that the testee sees. Moreover, the difference by the position of the window has been understood. Moreover, it has been understood that the attitude of EDA is different because of the position of the window.
