DV-Xα法を用いたラセミ型超分子希少糖及びキラル型希少糖の水素結合比較

Rare sugar is a monosaccharide that there are trace amounts in nature, the monosaccharide presents in large amounts in the nature is referred to as a naturally monosaccharide. It is very expensive due to its small quantity in nature. Therefore, up to now, there was no research subject according to the rare sugars. However, an enzyme which is capable of isomerizing monosaccharides to the rare sugars was found at Kagawa University. In this research, we searched for the possibility to create supramolecular rare sugar by means of the discussion of the strength of the hydrogen bondings. The hydrogen bonds were calculated using the DV-Xα method, and the results of the single crystal X-ray structural analysis were used as a calculation model. We focused attention on the difference in hydrogen bonding between a chiral and racemic forms of the rare sugars.
