Organic functional materials are attracting much attention because they are relatively easy to process, and their properties can be controlled by chemically modifying the molecular framework. In particular, the development in the field of organic electronics has been remarkable. The reason is that organic compounds are inexpensive and easy to process. Since these materials have an aromatic site in the basic framework, molecular interaction strongly acts, and generally it is obtained as a solid state. On the other hand, it has also been reported that by introducing substituents into those molecules, molecular interaction can be controlled to obtain a liquid state material. A novel light emitting π-conjugate liquid at room temperature having an N-Heteroace framework, which has not been reported so far, has been reported by Yusuke Isoda (Kagawa Univ.). Inthis study, the influence of the π-conjugated site and alkyl chain on the reported properties of new luminescent π-conjugate liquid at room temperature was evaluated by means of electronic theory.
