To develop small, lightweight, and inexpensive servo valves is an innovative technology that will support the future of fluid drive soft mechanisms. "Tap water pressure" is the most familiar fluid pressure source in anywhere human lives. In the previous study, a low-cost servo valve using a slide gate mechanism and diaphragm was developed. In this study, we aim to improve the valve with a large opening area so as to operate tap water. To increase the sectional area of gate, the stroke of the gate and space of passage are increased. Also, to decease larger shear force at the gate, the rubber sheet is inserted between the diaphragm and the valve seat. By this method, the gate can be closed surely by using small pushing force to the gate compared with that using the single diaphragm. As a result, the expected maximum flow rate of 80L/min can be obtained.
