On the instability of the space{time method of fundamental solutions for multidimensional anomalous diffusion equations

We investigate the stability of the space{time method of fundamental solutions (MFS) for multidimensional anomalous diffusion equations.
For a typical arrangement of space-time singular points of the fundamental solution, numerical instability has been reported for small time steps.
In this paper, we provide a theoretical analysis of this instability and confirm our result through numerical experiments.
