Preconditioning Iterative Method, Numerical Grid Generation,Boundary-Fitted Coordinate
Preconditioning iterative methods are applied to obtain a finite-difference solution of Laplace's equation in a boundary-fitted coordinate system. The coordinate system is obtained by the numerical grid generation using a finite-difference solution of a partial differential equation on an arbitrarily shaped region. It is concluded that preconditioning is quite effective to reduce the number of iterations in solving
Laplace's equation in a boundary-fitted coordinate system.
