Summary

This paper presents research results about an autonomous inspection of power transmission towers and insulators. Image acquisition is performed during an autonomous flight of a quadrotor helicopter. The recognition of the transmission towers and insulators is based on the YOLO system. Several experimental examples presented here prove the capabilities and usability of the proposed system.
