The purpose of this paper is to derive a pendulum-test (PT) model having stimuli from CNS(Central Nervous System) as inputs and propose to two-dimensional estimation of phasic reflex.
First, a detailed PT model is constructed, whose inputs are firing rate f_γ of facilitate stimulus from γ moto-neuron to spindle and firing rate f_i of inhibitory stimulus to pre-synaptic inhibition inter-neuron. Next, the model is simplified by integrating parameters and normalizing (f_γ,f_i). Finally, after verification of one to one correspondence between waveform of spastic knee-joint motion and a couple of normalized inputs, two-dimensional measure suited to estimate phasic reflex is derived, and related to angular velocity threshold and spindle gain used by J.He.
