On January 1, 2024, at 16:10, the '2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake' occurred, originating from an active fault extending from the waters off the western coast of the Noto Peninsula to the waters off the western coast of Sado Island.
In the process of restoring the one-story wooden building of Wajima-painted Bowl Wood Craftsman, which was judged to be completely destroyed, by reporting on specific examples of efforts such as the contents of the examination at the design stage, the practical content of the construction stage, and the content of the completed results, we will protect and inherit the culture and traditions of the region, which is not by demolition at public expense. The purpose of this project is to help us find new methods for reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas in the future.
