This study examines the factors that motivate students to learn Japanese in an online exchange program. The survey revealed that "self-introduction," "culture-related themes," and "small group interactions" were the main motivators. Participants also found that a "lack of vocabulary" caused difficulties in speaking and increased nervousness.
