This research aims to explore the challenges of teaching English as a Foreign Language to Japanese university students with special learning needs. Specifically, it investigates factors affecting academic performance in an inclusive education setting, focusing on methods to support students with hearing impairments. Despite the limited study population, it underscores the importance of inclusive classrooms where all students have equal access to learning materials. While hearing impairments pose challenges to language learning, this paper aims to identify strategies and technologies that can assist instructors without specialized training. Its goal is to provide insights to ESL teachers seeking to enhance the learning experience for all students. |
