The aim of this study is to propose a method to enable university students who want to become primary school teachers to correctly understand the teaching materials used in arts and crafts courses. Research on teaching materials is an indispensable educational activity in order to improve the academic performance of pupils at school and to make classes more effective. The aim of materials research is to analyze the materials provided to pupils and to derive specific teaching and support methods to achieve the objectives. There are many private materials and tools used in arts and crafts studies, and it is not easy to make students understand each one in depth, and some learning content is difficult to understand with only verbal explanations or images of children.
In this study, as a method to enable correct and deep understanding of the teaching material, it is proposed to let the students actually experience the material, instead of watching textbooks or actual lessons at school sites, etc.
