Summary
A new UAV system for the autonomous inspection of electrical energy transmission networks is presented. The system is based on a quadrotor helicopter equipped with sensors, a control computer, and a camera for acquiring images of the inspected objects and vegetation under the power lines. Experimental results are also described. As far as the authors are concerned such a system does not yet exist.
